Chris Roche
Head Coach
18th season
Coach Chris Roche came to Farmingdale State in the summer of 2005. Since then, Chris has completely turned around the women's soccer program, compiling an overall record of 231-115-31, leading his team to 13-Conference Championships (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018,2019,2021) as well as 13 NCAA Tournament appearances (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019,2021).
Over the past 18 seasons, Coach has won 10+ games 16 times. His winningest season came in 2018 with a 17-4-3 record, with a program-high eleven game win streak. He has coached 5 Skyline Rookie's of the Year ('06, '11, '14, '16, ‘21), four Skyline Player's of the Year ('10, '15, '18,’21) and 4 Skyline Defensive Player of the Year ('12, '14, ‘18, ‘21).He has also coached 17 All-Region players, three of which were 2 time recipients of that award.
Prior to Farmingdale, he was the Head Women's Soccer Coach at Briarcliffe for two years, where he coached the team to an 18-8-2 record, as well as a number three ranking in the country in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA).
Chris graduated from the University of Scranton in 1985 with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Finance. While studying at Scranton, he played one year of soccer and was then hired as the assistant coach.
Fred Pavey
Assistant Coach
19th Season
2023 will be Fred's 19th season with the Rams. Fred holds a NSCAA National Diploma, National Youth License and a NSCAA High School Diploma. He is a lifelong resident of Hicksville and has been active in the local soccer community, training club teams for over 22 years.
His college days were spent attending Hofstra University. When not training and coaching, Fred enjoys spending time with his wife Dina and dog Harley.
Ashley Monzillo
Assistant Coach
6th Season on Staff / 10th season overall
Ashley enters her sixth season as an FSC assistant coach. She played for Farmingdale State from 2013-2016 as a goalkeeper and was nominated as a captain her senior year. On top of day-to-day coaching assistance and operations, Ashley is in charge of the Farmingdale State women's soccer social media accounts. She graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor's Degree in Sport Management and has a Master from Hofstra in Physical Education
